I just had the same thing run across the floor!! OMG! Your description is spot on! LOL! I was able to get it outside, but couldn’t get a picture. I’m in Sedona.

You are correct! Solifuges, sometimes known as Camel Spiders, Sun Spiders, or Wind Scorpions, are neither spiders nor scorpions but are related arachnids.
