Comments & ID Thoughts
I did some research and couldnt find anything that matched. Its a poor photo but it has black and orange bands along its legs and an all white abdomen and head. Legs and all it would have been about the size of my palm. I live in sandy valley nevada and any input would be great.

The elongated abdomen might point to a Tibellus sp.; the habitat would be consistent with a Philodromidae
From what ive learned it may be an agiope trifasciata but i was cleaning and can no longer find the spider
The ventral view doesn’t seem to match with that of an A. trifasciata.

You didn’t get to see the markings on its back, did you?
I have also seen silvery/white Argiopes submitted, and have been rather mystified by them. Now I know what those are: juvenile A. trifasciata. Wonderful.
An important note about juvenile Argiopes is that they start out very light in color, only acquiring their dark, distinctive markings with age. Check out the lack of ventral markings on this juvenile male A. trifasciata:

From my understanding, anything in Family Philodromidae is going to be much smaller than this. For my part, I’m inclined to agree wtih Newtothis123 and say A. trifasciata.
I would like to add that this spider was very large when i found it. It apeared to be about an inch and half in length with just its body length. Its legs were equally long or longer. As for the markings on its back i couldnt get a photo but it had a silvery white back and crawled out from under a Salt Cedar that i was cutting down. I looked at the A.Trufasciata photos you posted and havent seen any like that around here. I will post more photos if i can manage and any new info is… Read more »
