Comments & ID Thoughts
This spider did not have a web. It was fairly large. It was lying in wait in our garage door runner. It was not aggressive. I gently coaxed it outside and took a photo with my hand beside it for scale. My guess is that it was about 4-5 cm? The length of my index finger from the turn to the thumb up to the tip is 12 cm. He chose to run back inside the garage.

I would hazard a guess at Tigrosa aspersa based on size/coloration and location.
Thank you
Close! This is Tigrosa georgicola. The median carapace stripe is shorter on T. aspersa. Welcome to Spider ID. 🙂
