Comments & ID Thoughts
It sort of looks like a grass spider. It was on an Adirondack chair on a grassy area, a few feet from the beach, and not far from woods in other direction in Fundy National Park, Canada. It was very slow moving, like it was sun-bathing. And it didn’t seem to be startled by me much. I was afraid that if it was a jumping spider and I got it irritated it would jump up and bite me, so I didn’t get too close. I have no knowledge of spiders and have been looking for hours trying to figure out what it is. I love creatures and I’m really interested to know if anyone else knows what it was. Thanks.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Running Crab Spider (Phildromidae), maybe Philoddromus histrio.
