I found this spider in my garage while cleaning up. I was spooked, thinking is was a black widow at first sighting. I looked carefully, and saw no red or orange anywhere, but plenty of brown and purple, the entire spider was a translucent brown when seen against a light source. I suspect it to be a female false black window, steatoda grossa.
