Sorry about the first image.. this guy was found behind a dumpster.. it's about 1.5" in length.. the body is a little less than half that. It's in a concrete yard behind my wood shop. My little kids play back there now and again so I'm concerned about it.

Steotada bipunctada. I found one in my shed, in a web. I hot excited, thinking it was the famed black widow. It was in fact a ‘false widow’. . ‘bipunctada’, of course, referring to the two puncture marks on the abdomen. Harmless to humans, common and good to have around.
