Barn spider? orbspinner for certain. on my back deck on web between house and pole . the web is round and the connections are far apart holding the middle more dense web. the spider is about 1.5 inches. she has two white spots on her ventral (?) side (underside). she is easily frightened and runs for cover under into a crevice in the house.
