If you choose to accept it, Your next challenge is to find out what colors the nearby Gasteracantha cancriformis spiders are… ๐Ÿ™‚ Most are white with red and/or black spines. I don’t know if the colors are genetically determined or environment-triggered. I live in the NorthEast, I only get to casually study these things when I visit relatives in the SouthEast. They’ve become accustomed to me escaping parties to wander into briar thickets in the dark. Hahaha! That sounds like a great way to enjoy parties. I’ll have to try it sometime. I’ve already been the person who pulls out a pocket multi-tool and tightens outlet cover screws. Perhaps in the absence of loose screws, I can go spider-hunting. If I can get someone to go with me, that would be even better. I’d love it if I could get my local friends interested in spiders.
