Or it’s Latrodectus mactans, Southern Black Widow
Also its a female
Or Latrodectus Hesperus, it would be really difficult to really id the species based on a photo, you can resume it to Latrodectus sp. unless you saw it under the microscope
You don’t need a microscope for them. Latrodectus hesperus isn’t found near New Jersey. The hourglass doesn’t match with variolus so it definitely looks like mactans.
