He’s a male Steatoda borealis. He’s a great indoor spider. They eat lots of insects and will attempt to avoid you. They stop moving in bright light or run for a dark spot. They’ll only bite mammals in self-defense. Some of the spiders in the Steatoda genus even kill ticks and Widow spiders. I think they’re worth the cobwebs in the house.
