I’m considering the genus Colonus…C.sylvanus, perhaps?
Yes, I agree! Colonus for sure. Maybe while you’re at it you can check out these additional sightings of Wendave70’s. I’ve had no luck getting a conclusive identity on them, but I’m pretty sure they’re either C. sylvanus or C. puerperus:

Same dilemma here..It seems to me that both species have different abdominal markings. I have looked through all the sighitings of C. puerperus/sylvanus in Virginia on Inaturalist, but that didn’t solve my dilemma.
About the two additional sightings, all I can say is that the second specimen looks a lot like this one:

If I am to venture a guess, I say C. puerperus in this case 🙂
I accept that.
Well you find out who your friends are!!!!! Here I have been away for a few weeks only to find that the truest of them are working so diligently to try to identify my 8 legged friends. Thank you so much for your time and help. These little guys amaze me and with so many of them they can be hard to ID but you all seem to have a good idea about who is who!
Aww, thank you! How are you doing? I haven’t been on here much either, mostly just checking in on my buddies to see how y’all are getting along.
