Comments & ID Thoughts

I was replacing some old rotten decking joists and when I lifted the deck boards I found this hairy little fella on a damp rotten joist.
I thought he looked kinda cool with his big magnum PI moustache and wondered if anyone could identify him.

Hi. your spider is a black lace weaver. They are pretty cool but if mishandled, can give a god sting with their venomous bite. Under old logs etc is a good place to find them.
