This is Uloborus plumipes.
Great yes that is it! Thanks. It has elected to live on my dining room plants and seeing as it is staying there discreetly and is not venomous, I shall leave her be.
You’ve made a smart decision. Discreet and not venemous, that’s exactly what these odd-looking spiders are. They don’t even have venom glands, so they are to be considered the most harmless spiders of all. It’s funny to see how people react to the sight of these spiders. Show your Uloborus to someone and ask them what they think It Is. The answers I got were a curled little leaf, a little twig and stuff like that. The best guess was some strange insect 😀
