I think she’s a Tropical Orbweaver, Eriophora ravilla. They are more likely to be found in the southern states of the US. E. ravilla has harrier legs distally than N. crucifera and it has a lighter colored anterior band on the abdomen. I know, Vonpaulus, that it can be tricky to keep track of geographic habitats on other continents. Have you ever been to the US? As with spider species, it really helps to see locations in-person.
