Comments & ID Thoughts
Is this a Silver Marsh Spider, female?
The spider is in the centre of an orb web, which is built on a slant of about 45 degrees at about knee height off the ground. The spider is always on the underside, with its head pointing downwards.

The carapace is an interesting shape with a complex geometry, almost as if it’s meant to be aerodynamic. The shape reminds me of a classic Italian wooden motor launch.
It is Leucauge festiva, Masked Vlei Spider. Reminds me very much or our own Leucauge venusta – a beautiful spider.
