She’s beautiful! Her colors and markings are a rarer combination. I found my first orbweaver when it was resting in a “sleeping bag” of silk and leaves like yours. Her cuteness lead me to this website to learn more.

Aww, thanks. That’s exactly why this website was created. I was looking through my own spider photos last night and realized I photographed a Spitting Spider. I didn’t know they could be found here in New Hampshire. They’re in Massachusetts too. They are usually near sinks. They’re tiny, delicate, translucent little things with black markings. Someone in Asia described the one in her house as her “beautiful little tattooed ninja warrior.” I like that a lot.
