I believe it to be a Phidippus Audax or bold jumping spider. They have great vision. They are very intelligent little creatures. I am actually keeping one because they are so darn cute

They are truly fascinating to watch! Especially when they eat. I am not positive but, I believe that is a male.

Jumping spiders are not aggressive at all. No spider is aggressive towards humans for that matter, but Jumping Spiders are the only spiders that look back at you, which may strike you as aggressive. The truth is they are just very inquisitive; I think it’s because they have an excellent eyesight, unlike most of the spiders 🙂

It makes them really easy to photograph too because the phone/camera and the flash interests them. They’ll chase a laser pointer dot or a cursor on a digital screen.
