I have no idea which spider built these gorgeous webs suffice to say that the fields near Senija were full of them this morning. I have searched at length online and can find nothing similar and perhaps more importantly there was no sign of any spider near the web (we did have a very heavy dew last night)

Interesting how much this resembles NA’s Bowl and Doily Spider – the web is made by a member of the sheetweb weavers, Linyphiidae. I believe it may be Frontinellina frutetorum, the Money Spider. Sheetweb Weaver spiders like this are often inconspicuous, as they hang attached to the underside of the “bowl” and pull through anything that happens to land in it. The web is a work of art!
Wow thank you. The area around here is very rocky and so lots of place for spiders to hide so we seldom see any. This morning was very damp following the dew and there was a thick mist so i will need to go another time to see if i can find the owner,
I do agree with you the web is an absolute work of art. Some other good ones around but none quite so large or elaborate.
Thank you for identifying
