So we just got flooded in Florida from tropical storm ETA now I hAve tons of those running around! Hoping it’s just a wolf spider and not a recluse

Don’t worry, please. Yes this is a Wolf Spider. They tend to come out after heavy rains. I suspect that they are running around to grab earthworms, grubs, and any bugs that had to escape drowning underground. I hope you don’t have much damage from the storm! Snakes and alligators are your flood risk animals, followed by mosquitoes. Wolf Spiders technically have venom, but it is intended for quickly killing prey. They very rarely bite people.
