Comments & ID Thoughts
Saw this spider on the door frame outside last night. This morning it had a nest, wondering if this is part of the widow species? If so should the nest be removed or left alone?

A friend said the markings on the body looked to be false widow like but the striped legs was more garden spider? Also on the nest ( if it is a nest) not looking to destroy it just want to move it off the door and place somewhere that limits the chances of pets and kids getting a bite.
If it is a false widow, it may be a Steatona nobilis. The Steatona genus does have striped legs, though I will admit not often as contrasted in colour as seen on this spider.
