She’s a Spiny-backed Orbweaver, Gasteracantha cancriformis. They can be other colors too, like white. Wherever I saw one in South Carolina I saw dozens. If you’re interested in finding more cool spiders try places where deer go. Places with greenbrier thickets and dense woods. I finally got to see the most colorful American spiders that I’ve only seen here in photos when I hiked in South Carolina.
