Comments & ID Thoughts

I rescued this spider from my trash can, where she had apparently fallen in. I intially thought it was a Rabid Wolf Spider however I now think shes probably a Nursery Web Spider. I had a question maybe someone can answer about that cocoon she built, I assumed it was an egg sac or egg tent whatever its called, but I never saw her carrying an egg sac around. But I don't know what else it could be, anyone have any idea about what it might be? Anyway any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is a grass spider in the Agelenopsis genus and yes that “cocoon” is an egg sack. These spiders do not carry around their egg sacks like wolf or nursery web spiders.
