Comments & ID Thoughts
Hey guys, I don't know anything about spiders. After some research my guess is that this is some sub-specie of a Golden Orb spider :? Amy help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 I agree it looks like a Black-legged Nephila, Nephila fenestrata.

Hi ItsyBitsy, thanks for the hospitality! And thank you so much for the information. I can tell that you know much about anthropoids. I imagine that you have spidey senses too! lol.
Any suggestions of how I can accommodate the Nephila? Or should I just leave that to nature?
Kind regards
Unless she’s spun her web someplace inconvenient for people I’d just let it be. If she’s spinning her web across a walkway or in front of a door I’d relocate her.
Cool thanks. Do you perhaps know their lifespan?
Many species of Orb-weaver live around 1 year, I don’t know if that’s true of this species or not.
Okay I’ll be observing it until then and may post follow up pics of it and its web if you’re interested. Thanks a million
