When it was warmer I woukdngonon a late evening stroll and find quite a few Wolf Spiders posted along the edge of the house and such. Now that it's a bit cooler I am not seeing them but instead these guys are a plenty. I think these are all the same kind of spider and beg forgiveness if they are.not....

Based on the eye arrangements, I’m inclined to identify these as still being wolf spiders. I am intrigued by the unusual markings; they seem to have a very dark ‘hourglass’ or ‘X’ across where the carapace and abdomen connect. I skimmed BugGuide.net for wolf spiders with markings at least somewhat like this and came up with the following:
