Nice find! I think she’s a Tropical Orbweaver, Eriophora ravilla. https://bugguide.net/adv_search/bgsearch.php?taxon=24094&location%5B%5D=AL They are more common in other Southern states, but they can be found in Alabama. Our site doesn’t have any sightings filed for Alabama for this species yet. Unfortunately we don’t have any volunteers during the pandemic who have access to file photos. Maybe years from now, you’ll receive an email that the photo has been filed. This is a cute species, they’re really hairy and brightly colored and totally harmless. Enjoy her. 🙂
