Seen this guy a few times. Always on the ground. Moved it away from my door once and it reared up with it's front legs. Located in SE Turkey.

This is some variety of wolf spider, Family Lycosidae, possibly Genus Hogna. Rearing up with the front legs is a threat display, as it makes the spider look bigger and more imposing. A bite would be painful but not dangerous.
