Uh, wow! I would definitely take a picture of that too! I think it is a dehydrated Orbweaver, such as Neoscona crucifera. It’s probably a female that has lost body mass after ovipositing her eggs into and egg sack. They seem to resort to ambush hunting and searching for water instead of making webs in the end stage of life. I think this is the same hairy species that originally led me to this site because it was so ugly that it was cute.
