Picture of Heteropoda - Dorsal

Comments & ID Thoughts

I know that this picture is not very high quality, but I am hoping that the other details will help. This spider was gigantic, probably 1.5 inches across including legs. It was brown with light brown stripes and it was found indoors in Thailand. It had two very long pinschers/fangs on the front and it’s body was very big.

Hi. your little friend is a male huntsman spider, Sparassidae family, Heteropoda venatoria species.
No threat to you at all. I had one in my room the longest time, Zeus was getting to 4 inches across the legs, estimate 24 MM body length. Never was a nuisance, a good moth catcher.
