I agree with your ID. Thankfully this is the first time Someone has reported a spider falling out of a duct onto a desk, there would be lots of freak-outs if that was a common occurrence.
I freaked out when it happened, has a flashback to Arachnophobia. Fella landed right next to me and just sat there and wiggled for a few minutes.
Admittedly, it’s pretty funny when it happens to someone else. 🙂 When I was a kid I found a truly huge bright red caterpillar in a salad I was eating. I don’t know of any North American species that resembles it. I’ve been nervous about eating salads ever since.
