Thanks, yeah I was going to say something. I’m the fill-in moderator, but I don’t have moderator programming controls to crop photos. We’ll get it fixed eventually. The spider is Dysdera crocata, a Woodlouse Hunter. They are common and not dangerous. They hunt pillbugs/woodlice -those oval flat gray bugs on rotting wood. Yes, this is a bright red and yellow spider and it looks especially flamboyant on black clothing…but color isn’t a danger sign in spiders like it is for insects. For spiders it’s about camoflage…..and that doesn’t explain this species, I guess.
