Comments & ID Thoughts
Please help! I found this spidey in my room in Richmond, VA. Think it is female because she appears to be lacking palps? Her orange/brown shiny legs & thorax in contrast with fuzzy/ dark abdomen & faint markings make me think she might be a callobius spider? But everything I’ve seen online shows me that typically it is the males in this species that have the slender/longer-legged body type like the one I found, and females are usually a little more round/ plumper? Callobius or Hacklemesh Weaver is the closest conclusion I could come to, and don’t know where to go from there. Any help is so greatly appreciated! THANK YOU!
