My initial guess is Linyphia hortensis. About 2mm. Found in lower parts of a forest.

does anyone have any guesses for what spider this is?
Perhaps a broad faced sac spider?
I haven’t seen this one before, I think the initial guess of Linyphia hortensis is a good possibility. The images of them are quite variable, I’m not sure. Broad-faced Sac Spiders have dark legs. It really helps to see one in-person. @Towerchick sorry I haven’t been able to work on your photos yet! I’m trying to keep learning quickly. 🙂
It’s funny that you mentioned the light colored legs, because they stuck out to me for the same reason, however, I figured that it might be one of those situations where the lighting, flash, clarity, and color of the surroundings made them look a different color than they look in person.
I didn’t see the author’s initial note on guessing a Linyphia hortensis until now and just looked it up. For sake of learning, what characteristics do you attribute to leaning towards confirmation of the L.hortensis?
After some quick research, I am thinking that it isn’t broad faced sac spider based on where it was photographed. Not sure if those occur in Germany.
