A member of the Thomisidae family; it reminds of the genus Pistius, but I could find no pictures of the Indian species listed here:

Thanks Vonpaulus! Looks like Thomisus to me, but I’m not certain. The important thing is that it is a type of Crab Spider. They are not dangerous to people. They hunt by hiding where insects go and grabbing the insects. They don’t use webs to catch prey. It may be able to change colors to match what it sees.
