Comments & ID Thoughts
Found this in my basement in Massachusetts. Possibly looks like a wolf spider but the large fluid filled sac/abdomen is throwing me off. Any ideas?

I think she’s a Woodlouse Hunter, Dysdera crocata. I found my first one today, not that far from you (Nashua, NH). 🙂 I was surprised by how large she was, I’ve only seen them in photos. Yes, their abdomens are weird-looking shiny tubes. The color is odd on yours, closer to a Broad-faced Sac Spider. Beige is the color I expect.
Wolf spiders are out now too, you may find immature ones if you work on flower beds near a building.
