It was a tiny colony of tiny tan colored spiders. They were moving around almost like an ant colony. The webbing completely covered this tree like a blanket. I’ve never seen anything like it.

I’d guess new spiderlings, then. They must be emerging from their egg sac, ready to explore the world! They should disperse in a few days.
