TangledWeb

She was a Crab Spider, possibly in genus Misumenoides. They hunt by camouflaged ambush of prey, rather than by web. It takes more energy for the spider to grab and wrestle prey and to hold onto it against gravity while they eat. The web does the binding and holding work for spiders that use them as a trap. Crab Spiders are not dangerous to people nor pets. They appear to mostly eat bees and hornets.
