Found this guy when I was digging in my back yard. He was about 9 to 12 inches underground. Was very aggressive and not afraid of me at all. Found in longview Washington

I have seen these before also underground when I was digging . Black and shiny . Just a little bit ago I watched a video about the pine Rockland spider . To me it looks identical.
The Pine Rockland Spider is Ummidia richmond. Its in a different family from this spider. This is a Folding Door Spider in, presumably, the Antrodiaetus genus.
Little sling lover knows her stuff about spiders. It is a folding door spider .
Antrodiateus Pacificus pretty rare find acctualy.
