The picture is blurry as the spider was high up on a wall across the room (and then my husband killed it).

It was black with white (?) spots. Seen in Wichita, Kansas

Bold or regal jumping spider would be my guess. These little guys are often too small to break skin if they bite (and they rarely do)! And they are good at keeping pests away, so I live having them around.
