Maybe a camel spider? I’m pretty bamboozled too, I’ve never seen a spider like this before.
Yes, you got it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solifugae It’s a Solifugue, which is in class Arachnida, but in order Solifuguae, not Arranae. They are usually found in dry areas on the West Coast. They’re cool little Arachnids. No venom, nor fangs. They have strong sharp chelacerae they use to cut and kill prey. They eat arthropods, birds, and any small animal that doesn’t escape quickly enough. For humans, they have the ability to pinch, which could hurt a bit, but they really aren’t dangerous
That’s pretty cool! Why do they appear to have five sets of legs?
