This spiders body is about the size of a dime, and it has loooooong legs!

This actually isn’t a spider. Surprise! 🙂 It is a Harvestman in class Arachnida, order Opiliones. Spiders are in order Aranae. The easiest way to tell them apart is that Opiliones, like yours have their internal organs all inside one segment of exoskeleton. Spiders have two segments connected by a tube, the pedicel. A common term for yours is Daddy Long Legs. We don’t use it because it is a common name for several types of organisms and it could be confusing.
