Was found in lower branches of a pear tree. I know it’s a Golden rod crab spider. Is this unusual for this time of year? We are starting to see a lot of species of insects not seen at this time of year. Probably due to climate change.
BugGuide.net has submissions of M. vatia from Washington from April-October. 11 in May, the oldest from 2004, it doesn’t appear to be unusual. Filed. Welcome to Spider ID.
