Comments & ID Thoughts

I found this spider (no longer living, I did not end its life) in my home in Anthony, FL (North of Ocala). What kind of spider is this. Is this spider a good spider.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Huntsman Spider, Heteropoda venatoria. Like most spiders they have venom but are not considered to be of medical significance to people, everyone’s immune system is different though. One nice thing about them is that they prey on cockroaches.
