That is a northern black widow, Latrodectus variolus! They have potent neurotoxin capable of causing stomach cramps, difficulty breathing, fever, and temporary paralysis in the extremities. Their bites are rarely deadly do to antivenom, but you should be cautious in woodpiles and in dark garages. Black widow spiders are quite beautiful, though.

Can confirm! Their bites aren’t as bad as the internet would have you think, but it’s far from pleasant. Beautiful colouration

Definitely something you shouldn’t mess with. If a child gets bitten, go to the emergency room at once!

They are really beautiful ive seen some professionals just let them crawl on them they wont really bite unless threatened also fun fact 80% of bites by the black widow are venom free when biting people they also can control if they use venom and how much they use and their venom is the same as a cobra snake but like i said it takes alot to get bit just stay clear
