Comments & ID Thoughts
Found this lovely friend hanging out in my bedroom; particularly by the window. I’ve watched it go all the way up from the top of my window to down below my bed a few times; I believe it’s web is behind my blinds?
My area is near a river and we get a LOT of mayflies, so I don’t dare disturb where I think it lives in case it decides to move - Little buddy probably helps keep them out.
Took this photo around 1am at the window; the spider’s around 1.5-2cm counting the legs and used its web to drop down from the upper part of the wall, so pretty darn mobile! I can’t figure out anything about what kind it is so I hope the clearer picture’s enough

I even found one on a bridge. 🙂 This one looks male, he has proportionally long legs and swollen pedipalps. I found one in a parking lot doing aerial acrobatics hanging from a stop sign. It was very unexpected. Kevin, yes if a spider stays somewhere it is finding prey to eat. Indoors, that is a great thing! Male Orbweavers don’t make the large orb webs ( see spiderweb… Read more »
Thank you, that seems to be a match!
