Definitly what we call a banana spider but I was looking for the science name and I think nephila clavipes is closest hat I can find but something is a difrint shape in the abdomen so I hope someone will tell me if I'm wrong!

You got it correct, the trouble that you ran into was that the Latin name was changed a few years ago. So most books and many websites will have different names for this spider. She is Trichonephila clavipes now. Several spiders were moved from genus Nephila to Trichonephila. T. clavata is one of them.
Yes, her abdomen is a bit different-looking, kinda skinny. 🙂

You’re welcome! It helped me when our site moderator would tell me when there was only one species in a particular genus in a certain country. That makes it REALLY easy to narrow down the ID! We have only two Trichonephila species in USA. One of them, T. clavata is a fairly new accidental introduction to the Georgia area. They look different enough from each other that the ID is easy. You are doing incredibly well, I’m really impressed!
