Looking to ID this tiny spider in my garden. Abdomen approximately 2-3mm. Orange head and legs appear transparent in sunlight. Round shapes web. I’m in Seattle, current temperature is 83F. Beneficial to my garden? Poisonous? Thanks!

She’s Araneus diadematus, a Cross Orbweaver. She has venom for quickly killing prey, but it is not medically significant to humans. You’re very unlikely to be bitten, she’ll only bite if she is roughly handled against bare skin. The circles in her web are the “orbs” in the orbweb. The web is strong and built to stop large flying or jumping insects. The Orbweavers I’ve had in my garden mostly ate the parasitic wasps that were hunting the spiders.
