Found this creepy crawler by my bed. Just curious what kind of spider it is before I put it outside.

It’s a False Black Widow, Steatoda grossa. I think you’ll like this one. It eats Black Widows, ticks, Brown Recluses, house flies, and lots of other living things. It has the added bonus of not having medically significant venom for humans. They want to avoid us and live in the dark because they don’t have good enough vision to see predators. They’ll totally stop moving in bright light. I give them a habitat both indoors and outdoors at my house. They like compost bins and cool moist stone or concrete outdoor vertical surfaces.
