Is this a recluse? Leaning no. Don’t see a violin. Lots of rain of late likely drive it in.

It’s…..possible, but I don’t think it is a brown recluse.
The only sure-fire way to know for certain is eye configuration, and that requires a pretty high resolution image. I am not certain what species this is, however.

The 2 spiders that I keep seeing on the website being posted and posted again are the golden silk orb weavers and the hacklemesh. Lol
One is daunting and exotic looking, the other is easily missed up with the recluse

It took me a long time going back and forth with the Hacklemesh and recluse. I’ve decided the best way is the violin should be the same color as the head. Hacklemesh look like they have a faint violin ombre, and fat dark boxing gloves.
I definitely could be wrong, but it seems to hold true for the spiders at least in this area.
