Comments & ID Thoughts

I’m fairly certain this is the Hobo Spider species E. agrestis. These spiders are extremely common on my property and inside of my home as well. I don’t mind them in the garden, but don’t like that they are frequently seen running in the house as we have young kids in the home who have been taught not to fear spiders but to respect their personal space. “Look, don’t touch.” I would love it if someone who is more adept with Spider identification could confirm the species? They are approximately the size of a toonie, and build funnel webs usually along the ground or in convenient holes such as this joining section of the fence around our vegetable garden. Also, I have read a lot of contradictions about whether or not the bite from these spiders is considérée dangerous, if anyone has any insight into that matter as well that would be appreciated, thank you!
