I believe that this is an Araneus Cavaticus (Barn Orb-Weaver Spider) This is a female. I currently have three females and one male. They are in the upper areas of the front veranda. They each have their own webs. They rebuild their webs daily in the same spot. The male has his web in the opposite side of the door away from the females. I noticed two dead males on the edge of two of the female’s webs. The females are all approximately 50mm long and the webs are all approximately 80cm.
